Our Mount Stuart Campsite Development project is ongoing. We have quite ambitious plans for this site, and there has been an enormous amount of work done on the site over the past few years. Both scouts and leaders have worked on clearing and planting the site, and we have had lots of wonderful camps for all sections. Mount Stuart has also become our base for backwoods training, and we were delighted to host the County Challenge there this year.

Our hope is to make Mount Stuart a centre of excellence for scouting and youth organisations – with zip lines and rope walks, a sensory garden, backwoods training grounds, and a full kitchen and dormitory area. Along with these ambitious plans come large costs of course, so our fundraising is now active. Our inaugural Christmas Fete in 2024 was well received and enjoyed by all, and will run again this year and of course our fun Ball Run on St Patrick’s Day was a huge success, and we plan on making this another annual event. We hope you can support in whatever way you can. to continue the scouting tradition in Dungarvan and leave a legacy for future generations of scouts.
