Mount Stuart Campsite with Digger

Mount Stuart Campsite

A world-class outdoor facility built by scouts, for scouts.

After over 50 years of delivering scouting adventures in Dungarvan, the 11th Waterford Scout Group has embarked on its most exciting project to date: the development of a 7.6-acre mature forest site at Mount Stuart into a purpose-built, multi-activity scout campsite.

This site will offer a unique blend of nature, adventure, and outdoor learning — not only for Dungarvan Scouts, but for groups from all over Ireland and beyond.

Help Bring Mount Stuart to Life

With the site now secured, thanks to bank funding and years of local fundraising, we are ready to begin development. Our scouts and leaders have already put in countless hours preparing the grounds.

Now we need community support to bring the next phase to life.

Every donation goes directly toward site development, helping us create a top-class resource for Dungarvan and beyond.

Thank you for securing the future of scouting in West Waterford.

In addition to our online fundraiser we host a number of local fundraising events throughout the year including our St Patrick’s Day Ball Run, our Christmas Fete and other community initiatives. These events play a vital role in supporting our work and building the Mount Stuart campsite. Please support them in any way you can, whether by attending, donating, or spreading the word. Every contribution helps us bring this exciting project to life for our scouts and the wider community. See our Facebook and Instagram pages for details of upcoming events.
