Adventure, inclusion and skills for life.
Open to all young people in our community.
At Dungarvan Scouts, we believe in equipping young people in our community with the skills, confidence and character they need to thrive in life. As part of Scouting Ireland we welcome all members, and are committed to inclusion regardless of gender, sexuality, race, religion, social background or ability.
Joining Dungarvan Scouts
The scouting year begins in September, which is when new scouts join Dungarvan Scouts in the appropriate sections for their age. There are limited spaces in each section, and scouts moving up from lower sections get priority. We operate a waiting list for those interested in filling the other available spaces for each section – Beavers, Cubs, Scouts, Venturers.

Through fun, adventure and outdoor learning we use the Scout Method to support each young person’s personal growth and development, while building friendships and memories that last a lifetime.

Become an Adult Scout Member
Volunteering with Dungarvan Scouts is a chance to make a real impact – not only will you be improving the lives of young people in your community, but enhancing your own also.
As an adult member, you’ll be part of a supportive team where you’ll receive full training, resources and encouragement every step of the way. Whether you’re a former scout eager to return to the adventure, someone who loves working with young people, or simply looking to build new skills and enjoy the outdoors we’d love to hear from you.
